We've had a relaxing stay and enjoyed exploring West Sussex very much - a new area for us. The West Beach at Littlehampton is beautiful and sandy at low tide nice beach café too. The Weald & Downlands open air Museum also very interesting and in stunning countryside. Lovely weather (partly!) for sitting in the garden - great for a dog too.

Loved this well equipped cottage. Stayed only for 2 nights but managed to enjoy a lit fire, very homely. Visited Lancing, Littlehampton, Tangmere Military Museum (Tangmere Military Aviation Museum (tangmere-museum.org.uk)), Arundel and Petworth. Met on arrival and felt very welcome. Cottage made up for the rather dreary weather. Comfy beds, clean and tidy. Ate out at The Harvester in Lancing (Family Restaurant in Lancing | The Britannia (harvester.co.uk)). Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We had a splendid time here. A straightforward comfortable house - very homely. We really appreciated the views from the garden across to the hills beyond.
Luckily we had fine weather throughout our stay. Have done some lovely walks from the house - no need to drive! Enjoyed Cissbury Ring - Monarch's Way - Arundel Gardens (Gardens - Arundel Castle & Gardens)- The Arundel Wetlands (Arundel Wetland Centre | WWT)) - Pallent House in Chichester (John Craxton: A Modern Odyssey (pallant.org.uk)) - Also Badger Beer at the local pub (https://www.worldsendpatching.co.uk/). Recommend the pub quiz on a Monday ...everyone very friendly.
We would love to come again, even for a short break. Thank you Sara for your help and advice...visited the Sistine Chapel too (Sistine Chapel Ceiling – English Martyrs Catholic Church (english-martyrs.co.uk)) ...astonishing. A great tip Sara - Thank you.

Our third (possibly 4th) visit to France Cottage. The cottage is as welcoming as ever & a peaceful and restful haven. The weather has been mixed - some good days and some rainy days with gales! We were lucky enough to hear barn owls most evenings between 9pm and 10pm, and enjoyed a visit to RSPB reserve at Pulborough Brooks (https://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves-and-events/reserves-a-z/pulborough-brooks/) where we watched a couple of marsh harriers above the wetlands.

We has a great time in this lovely cottage. The weather was good most of the time and we had breakfast in the garden quite often. Thanks for the brilliant ideas for what to do with the dog. Weald and Downland Museum (www.wealddown.co.uk) was great, Arundel Castle (no dogs, www.arundelcastle.org) is a must. Beachwise we loved Littlehampton's West Beach (www.visitlittlehampton.co.uk/things-to-do/west-beach). Many thanks!

This is the perfect cottage for a family with 2 young children. Sara & Neville are extremely warm. Our 3 1/2 year old particularly enjoyed feeding Molly the chicken. Sara recommended Aldingbourne Farm (https://www.aldingbournetrust.co.uk/country-centre/open-farm/) which was very nice. The garden is fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay here & are hoping to come back soon.

Perfect cottage and surroundings for an escape from the big smoke. Thankfully the Easter bunny located us. Recommend Ferring's Bluebird Café (www.thebluebirdcafeferring.co.uk/) & beach, Tangmere Aviation Museum (www.tangmere-museum.org.uk/). A big thank you to Sara C.

Lovely stay in the cottage. Caught up with our family & friends. Eaten too much!! Walked miles with the dogs. Bluebells are just coming out in the woods. This has been a very good base for us. Hope to come back. Many thanks.

No.1 France Cottages is beautiful, very rustic and natural - we fell in love with it and the gorgeous garden and views. Also Mollie the chicken greeted us mornings and our Bonnie - Labrador retriever went out to say hello to her every morning - I think they may well kiss one another! Sara is lovely, very friendly and helpful with suggestions for great days out and lovely pubs and restaurants:- The Worlds End (www.worldsendpatching.co.uk/), The George (www.georgeatburpham.co.uk/) and the White Swan (www.white-swan-arundel.co.uk/)! I should say Neville is lovely too. They're both very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Countryside walks beautiful.
